3 Reasons Renting May Be Your Best Bet

While investing in real estate can be a great long term investment for your money, it may not be for everyone. Maybe renting is the better option for you right now. Many different factors go into the decision on whether to look at home rentals or homes for sale in the cabot area. Consider these reasons you may want to stick with a home rentals for a little while longer.

No Repair Responsibilities

Let’s say your air conditioning goes down. If you own your own home, you are responsible for calling the repair company, being present for repairs, and in the end, paying the bill. Many home repairs can cost upwards of several hundred dollars. By renting, these costs do not fall on you, they fall on the property manager to handle and the property owner to pay. Additionally, any future upgrades are also the responsibility of the property owner. If you don’t like having to address these responsibilities then renting is definitely for you.

Allow Yourself Flexibility

Perhaps your job and lifestyle don’t allow you to stay put for an extended period of time. Investing in a house becomes a money drain instead of the home you wished for. A rental home would allow you the flexibility to move after a lease term if your job or family require it. However, another option is to buy with the intent of renting through a property management company when you move. This is a great way to keep your investment and not lose out on the benefits real estate can provide.

Not a Good Risk for Everyone

Not everyone is in the right financial situation to dive into homeownership. For many, it may be a risk that could lead to foreclosure or bankruptcy. Renting may be the better financial decision and that’s okay too!
