Getting a home ready to rent can seem like an overwhelming task, but if you target the right areas, the process becomes much easier. We also guarantee that the more experience you have, the faster you can get everything done! At Real Property Management, we are responsible for many homes for rent in Little Rock, and we know what it takes to make a home shine.

In our last blog, we went over important areas to target for cleaning and repairs, including the carpets, tiles, and walls. Today, we have two more effective ways to make a home appealing to prospective renters.

Get light in!

  • We are leading today’s list with light, because it makes a massive difference. It can transform a room that looks dim and grungy to a cozy, warm space that prospective renters want. It can take a home that looks forgotten and turn it into a bright, secure beacon. Replace broken or dim bulbs with energy-efficient bulbs that look good and save your renters money. Clean light fixtures. Don’t forget the outside lighting – replace and clean those lights so that renters feel safe.

Get clean air!

  • Make sure the house has fresh air by changing all the air filters and cleaning all the vents. You may even want to clean the ceiling around the vents. You can reduce the need to clean the filters by making them all disposable. That way, your residents won’t need to remember to clean the filters.
